But we will have Cliff presenting “Competitive Intelligence in the Trenches” from our location so come network with fellow chapter members and Cliff as well as learn about creating a world class CI program.
This session, presented by the former head of Merck's intelligence function, offers lessons learned from the pragmatic experience of building a world class, demand driven operation that grew to become top management's partner in decision making. The delicate balance of supply and demand between producers and consumers of intelligence is explored as well.
Specifically, you will learn how to:
**Agree on a clear statement of the mission and scope of work with management
**Build and develop an intelligence team through careful client negotiations
**Identify, plan and execute on intelligence projects with discipline and rigor
**Understand the level of development of your firm’s CI function
**Lead a cross functional team that supported the creation of a joint venture and some tough lessons learned from an actual case history of CI in action
